Characteristics:
• Assam tea is a black tea that originates from Assam in northeast India, on the southern edge of the Eastern Himalayas. The region shares a border with Bhutan. The tea is grown at or near sea level and is known for its rich, malty aroma and crystal-clear infusion.
• The tea is processed using traditional techniques. The large, thin leaves produce a dark red infusion with a full-bodied flavour and no bitterness. It is often served with milk and sugar.
• The flavour infuses quickly, therefore it only requires a short brewing time.
